Seneca has experienced significant growth of South Asian students with over 4000 Indian students enrolled at Seneca. He has over 16 years of experience in the arena of international education, having worked for various institutions in Canada and the USA.

He has delivered presentations in several international conferences on Indian and Canadian education systems, Ontario college system and participated in panel discussions on international education and skills development. He works closely with Indian and Canadian governments in organizing international training programs of Indian Civil Servants in Canada.

Ryan Pereira is the Regional Officer at the United States – India Educational Foundation where he supervises both the EducationUSA and Fulbright programs in Western India.  Ryan has over ten years’ experience guiding students interested in pursuing higher studies in the U.S. Prior to that, Mr. Pereira taught various courses in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology at St. Xavier’s College Mumbai during the 2009-2010 academic year. Mr. Pereira was a postdoctoral fellow and research associate in the Department of Molecular Medicine at Cornell University where he trained with Dr. Richard Cerione.  Originally from Mumbai, he has a Bachelor of Science degree in zoology and biochemistry from St. Xavier’s College Mumbai, a Master of Science degree in biochemistry from Mumbai University and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from The Ohio State University.

With over 11 years of experience in international education advising, she holds expertise in U.S. higher education, student counseling, student application guidance and profile building. Having worked closely with U.S. universities and colleges for more than a decade, Deepali now works for Foothill + De Anza Colleges as their Assistant Director of International Student Recruitment to help and advice students on choosing the community college path for their undergraduate education.
